UF schedule set

The SEC released its full men’s basketball schedule this afternoon, meaning Florida’s 2009-10 slate is now set.

Florida will open SEC play on Jan. 9 at Vanderbilt and close SEC play March 7 at Kentucky. Kentucky also will serve as the SEC home opener on Jan. 12 with a 9 p.m. tip at the O’Connell Center.

The new television deal with ESPN/CBS will bring increased national visibility to the Gators and the rest of the league. Of Florida’s 16 league games, 10 will appear on either CBS, ESPN or ESPN2.
