Countdown to championship

by admin

At 85 minutes before tipoff, fans slowly were starting to filter in to the Georgia Dome.

Florida is expecting a big turnout from its fans tonight, and judging from the throng of orange and blue clad shirts on the streets of Atlanta, it appears likely that Gator fans will outnumber Ohio State fans.

Ohio State guards Mike Conley Jr., Ron Lewis and Jamar Butler were the first to hit the floor.

Florida hit the floor at the 71-minute mark to the J. Geils Band classic “Angel Is The Centerfold.”

A rumor that Florida junior Al Horford re-aggravated his sprained ankle in Sunday’s practice was just that. Team spokesman Fred Demarest said Horford made it through the team shoot-around earlier this afternoon without incident.
