Even without forward Patrick Patterson, the 2007 Florida recruiting class ended up with the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation according to Rivals.com.
The late push to sign McDonald’s All-American point guard Jai Lucas vaulted Florida from fifth to first in the national rankings. Rounding out the class are McDonald’s All-American guard/forward Nick Calathes, forward Chandler Parsons, forward Adam Allen and forward Alex Tyus.
In other basketball news, Chris Richard’s agent, Andre Buck, confirmed that Richard will work out at the NBA predraft camp in Orlando next week. The 6-foot-8 Richard, who earned SEC sixth man of the year honors as a senior, is projected as a potential mid-to-late second round draft pick.
